Tony Tharpe is the lead vocal tutor at The Singers Tutor. Tony is an experienced outstanding vocalist ,songwriter and singing tutor.
Tony is extremely passionate about singing.He throughly enjoys helping people to develop their voices ,whilst retaining their natural uniqueness and style. Tony has a proven track record teaching students of all levels using simple, fun and highly effective teaching techniques. Tony has a City and Guilds qualification in teaching and an enhanced DBS certificate.
Tony started singing in London churches where he developed his soulful gospel style and eventually became a professional studio session singer in 1979. Tony regularly performs live and has recorded songs in a wide range of musical genres. Tonys’ songwriting skills are still in demand and he has written songs for new upcoming artists and legendary American soul singer Jimmy Ruffin.
